 Raising Fund to help Southern of Thailand-Floods & Landslides 2011

 

Well, I am actually from the southern part of Thailand. Now am in BKK. My hometown called Trang and was hit with that heavy flood and mudslide as well. Luckily me and my family there are all safe.

During that period, I have heard that there are lots of people were injured and some people lost their life, houses,livestock (oh! that is what they do for living). some children lost their family members, may be some lost their parent!, those was heart breaking. I never heard such a heavy flood like this before.

**Just hope that We can do something for people who suffer there...

I will donate 100% of items made by me during my first 3 months  in Etsy.com . and some percentage after that. In my online shop-lullaby will also do the same.

I have made some stuffs earlier which planed for donation to Japan as it has been hit by tsunami but not yet list up to the shop, now the disaster happened in south of Thailand, so I need to separate into two account. Anyway, I will list up the product in my shop as soon as possible.

Floods and LandSlide in South of Thailand 2011

Flood death toll 61-South of Thailand  

The death toll in flood-hit southern provinces has reached 61, the Interior Ministry's Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department announced on Sunday.

Of the 61 deaths, 26 are in Nakhon Si Thammarat, 12 in Surath Thani, 12 in Krabi, five in Phatthalung, three in Chumphon, two in Trang and one in Phangnga provinces.
Floodwater has receded in much of the flood-hit areas except Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Surat Thani and Trang.
Flooding completely destroyed 396 houses and partly damaged 10,412 others.

Thai villagers gather at the site of a devastating mudslide at the village of Nakau in Thailand’s southern province of Krabi on April 1, 2011 following torrential rains.

A total of 5,769 roads, 198 weirs, 578 bridges, 694 schools and 176 official buildings were damaged.
